about the conference
Conference Purpose
Asia Cutting Edge is the meeting place of the Christian
movement for children at risk in Asia. The Conference will enable
leaders, decision makers and senior staff of Christian
organisations and churches engaged with children to meet. It will
advance work that enables children to be all they can be as God
intends. Activities include:
- addressing new and ongoing issues affecting children at
risk in Asia,
- learning from people with expertise,
- studying best practices,
- drinking coffee and sharing with new and old friends at
the Mustard Seed Cafe.
Viva
Viva is a global movement of Christians passionately
committed to children having the opportunity to become all that
God intends. There are local and national network initiatives in
around 50 countries, and a network of International Associates.
Networks typically work in capacity-building, mobilization and
advocacy. For more information see,
www.viva.org.
Who Should Attend
Conference participants will be key drivers of the children at
risk agenda in their own organizations. They include decision
makers and senior staff from a wide range of organisations
concerned for children, national, regional and international
church leaders, child specialists, seminarians and academics.
This key event is organized by
Viva, a global
organisation seeking to encourage, grow, equip and sustain the
Viva community that is committed to every child having the
opportunity to become all that God intends. Since 1994, Viva has
sought to develop a visible and functional global movement of
Christians getting better help to more 'children at risk'. We value biblical and holistic child development and
recognise children as vital partners.
